How long does it take to get my live.com cashback? It CAN take 60 days, but lately many cash back payments come INSTANTLY back to the paypal account you paid with. So the second you pay, a cashback payment can pop up in your paypal account. The full amount with no fees taken out. If you agree to the new terms of live.com you may be able to get ALL cashback instantly.
However if you cancel a transaction and are refunded, they take the cashback AWAY.
What is a cashback portal anyway? Its the act of going thru ONE website to get to another. In doing so, they can track your activity. Its HOW google works. Its how cashback sites like bigcrumbs.com and fatwallet.com work. By getting to EBAY THRU another website, that first website gets credit for referring you to that site. Live.com is one of these portals. And may I say, the best one EVER for the consumer and seller.
How long will LIVE.COM work? Any cashback you have in the system is GUARANTEED. However they may remove the promotion at any time. Its expected that the live.com promo will work thru December 2009
WHY do they have this promotion? EBAY ordinarily pays millions to Google for paid search. However they are budgeting some funds to get new business thru LIVE.com which is Microsofts NEW search engine that competes with Google. EBAY and Microsoft appear to be sharing the burden of paying for the expenses of the cashback program.
What the max you can earn? Each account can earn $2400 according to everything we know. 12 transactions at $200 per. Thats the MAX per calendar year, and perhaps PER live.com account ever. 20 transactions total per year.
Why doesn't the live.com promo show up sometimes? Because there is a weekly quota for cashback. If by Saturday, too many people have used cashback, Microsoft scales back the percentage off (Ranging from 30% to 8%) and they can disable many keywords. It seems to reset on Monday. Its almost always 8% now.
Which keywords work best? Usually the best keywords are for high volume electronics sold on ebay. Examples are Imac, Macbook, Wii, PS3, Xbox, Electronics, Nike, etc...
ANY of these words CAN work and allow you into ebay thru the cashback tracker. Live.com cannot possibly have links to ALL items in its search. If you are looking for purple troll dolls, likely there is no cashback link for such a search, but you can use ANY of the active keywords to get into ebay THRU live.com and then search for the item, and you will be tracked. Or record the item number in advance. Once INSIDE ebay, you can then put in the item number you need for the item you found, and it will qualify for cashback.
When the cashback link doesnt come up what should I do? We recommend you search for a popular keyword, and then hit refresh over and over, up to 10 times. If the cashback link still doenst come up, then you must usually wait till Monday when the system resets. Also the highest percentages off are on Mondays.
Are there certain browsers that DO not work with live.com? YES! Firefox apparantly DOESNT work. We recommend Explorer or Safari.
What if I am not in the USA? Apparantly live.com is not offered to you if you are from outside the USA, and have a foriegn IP address. If you use a US IP address, it appears to work fine. Foriegn buyers must use a US IP address to access the savings. Thats alteast the rumor, we have no real experience using live.com OUTSIDE the USA.
How do I know it WORKED? At checkout, right before the CONFIRM screen in ebay checkout, it notes the $ amount of cashback you are eligible for in each transaction. IF you do not see this info somewhere in that final check out screen before CONFIRMING the purchase, then you did something wrong. Close all browsers and start again from the beginning.

1. Go to www.live.com
2. Search for "electronics" (Any popular keyword works, electronics is just an example, macbook almost always works). Locate the icon with cashback as shown below
3. Click on the

4. In the new Ebay window you would see EBay with Cashback on top
If it doesnt show up, then hit refresh, OVER AND OVER.
Once inside EBAY you will see the following at the top of your ebay page.
5. Now search for my item number
in Ebay search
6. Click buy it now and Pay by paypal to buy this item.
7. Wait for up to 10 minutes for cashback email in Ebay account messages. Usually the email shows up immediately.
